Alumni Engagement
The reputation of an educational institution lies on its students past and present. Faculty and staff also play a vital role. The reputation grows when it keeps producing successful Graduates, Post Graduates continuously who are intelligent, innovative and effective in their fields. The concept of alumni association evolved for needs from both the ends, i.e. academician and professionals, in the aim of building a bridge between college life and career life, so that the fresher graduates are made proactive to face the current challenges of competitive professional word. Both the ends shall work hand in hand to help each other for achieving the goal. The idea took shape and formation of Alumni Association turned in to reality.
Formation
Sarojini Naidu Government Girls Post Graduate (Autonomous) College, Bhopal formed an Alumni Association named "Nutan Old Girls Association (NOGA)" at the time of Institute's establishment. After almost two decades, NOGA was revived in 2002 and registered with registration no. 01/01/01/12803/03 in 2003 and since then it has been active in Alumni engagement. NOGA provides a forum for Alumni to express their views for the better functioning of the Institute. Activities conducted by NOGA are managed by 5 elected office bearers

Mission & Goals
Financial Support and Prize Sponsorship By College NOGA Members

Alumni provide financial support to the students in the form of fee payment. As a token of appreciation, Alumni Association has started to sponsor prizes to meritorious graduate students of the college, who achieve first place in respective disciplines in the academic Year.


The prizes are sponsored in order to appreciate the hard work done by students for the entire course and to give motivation to the upcoming graduate.


College NOGA member, Dr. Archana Gaur, Professor Economics initiated an award of Rs. 1 Lakh for the best academic performance in Economics. Further, Dr. Jyotsna Joshi Professor Psychology contributed Rs. 50,000/- in awarding Topper of MA Psychology.


Dr Deepti Sankat donated Rs 20,000 in the memory of her mother, Late Mrs Komal Sankat for NOGA Shade and Dr. Kavita Shrivastava Professor Mathematics donated 15000/- to install Vivekananda’s statue in the college premises and college NOGA members donated wheel chair with the assistance of staff club members.

Academic Advancement Programs
  • NOGA Member Ms. Riya Agrawal is taking UGC-NET/SET Coaching Classes from 20 April 2023 (for one month)
  • NOGA Member Dr. Namrata Chansoriya Bhardwaj is taking English Language Skills/ Personality Development and Grooming Classes from 20 April 2023 (for one month)
  • NOGA Member Ranjita Choudhary has delivered online and offline special lecture for the preparation of MPPSC, dated on 18 February 2022
  • NOGA Member Mrs. Jyoti Verma organized Herbal soap making workshop in the college, dated on 25 February 2022
  • NOGA Member Ms Divya Lunavat and Anushree Sharma have delivered expert lecture for the students of food and Nutrition.
  • NOGA Member Ms Zainab Khan delivered lecture on Draping and Fashion illustration, dated on 2 nd May 2022
  • NOGA Member Raakhi Rahangdale and Arti Rahangdale conducted one day workshop on Tie and Dye techniques, dated on 24th June 2022.
  • NOGA Member Ruzeena took classes for Add-on Course on Zardozi from 15th September 2022 to 31st September 2022
  • NOGA Member Rashmi Acharya took workshop on Traditional Art-Rabari, ,Mandana and Madhubani, in November 2019
  • NOGA Member Reena Shrivastava explained practically to sew baby clothes and accessories from Date 15th September 2018 to 31st September 2018.
  • NOGA Member Ms. Anamika Dixit delivered a lecture and demonstration on Draping on 18th November2019
  • NOGA Member Ms. Zainab Khan delivered a lecture on Textile Tasting on 16th February 2019
  • NOGA Organized a lecture Series on “Placement Opportunities in Job Markets’ in 2018-19
Sports/NSS/Curricular Activities
  • NOGA Member Varsha Sonavane and Ms. Pragya have contributed as Judo expert in the 15 days Self Defense Training Camp organized in the college
  • NOGA Miss Neetu Bardere is expert in Taikwando, she is imparting expertise for students being member of Board of studies (Yoga and Meditation) under foundation course of Department of Sports
  • NOGA Miss Varsha Pal, Expert in Chess, offered coaching for the college students and under her guidance the college won district event in 2021-2022.
  • NOGA Miss Durgawati has offered training of Ball Badminton in July 2022 and under her mentorship, the college team won second place in state level tournament.
  • NOGA Miss Mona Kaurav has given mentorship to the NSS students of the college.
  • NOGA Member Ms. Venus Tarkaswar composed college Song (Nutan Song) and lyrics are written by NOGA Member Ms. Anubhee Maheshwari
  • NOGA Member Ms. Ishita Lal conducts dance classes for our students
  • NOGA Member, Ms. Shyama Chandrawat trains college Musical Band group
Social Responsibility
  • Distribution of Warm Clothing and sensitization to students for elderly people

  • NOGA members visited an elderly care facility in 2018 along with students and distributed warm cloths to the elderly people. It was really heart breaking to see elderly people abandoned by their families and those people got so much of pleasure and happiness



  •  Mask Distribution Drive

  • With the lifting of the lockdown in June, the Government and the World Health Organization issued guidelines that recommended the use of masks as a means of halting the spread of the disease. Masks distribution drive was organised by NOGA with college students on 13-10-2020 to encourage people to wear masks and raise awareness to the importance of masks to fight against this pandemic.


    Students and people, outside the campus who did not have masks were provided mask and those who have, but do not wear regularly were urged to wear them properly not casually.



  •  Mask Distribution Drive

  • A tree plantation drive was conducted by NOGA in the college premises. The duel objective of this drive was to enhance the tree cover on the campus and to sensitize the students towards importance of trees. NOGA members also donated



  • Cleanliness Drive

  • On the call of country wide Swachchh Bharat Mission Campaign, NOGA took an initiative to carry forward the noble cause of spreading cleanliness awareness among the students within the college premises. The main motive of this drive was to create awareness in society about need for cleanliness. NOGA members donated dustbins within the college premises.

Platform to the Young Entrepreneurs

Time to time NOGA members provide a platform to the young entrepreneurs to exhibit and sell their products. Many NOGA members have put stalls in college fete during annual function 2017-2018 and 2019-2020 and in career fair 2021-22

  • With the attainment of knowledge and wisdom, the Goddess of Education, was installed at the main entrance of the college by NOGA



  • NOGA Umbrella

  • NOGA Members have renovated permanent structures of Umbrella like shades within the college premises for providing covered sitting space to students.



  • Swing

  • NOGA members have donated a iron swing to the college for developing a recreation corner within the premises for the students.



  • Earn while you learn corner

  • NOGA member have develop and designed a specific place near canteen for the purpose of putting stalls for Earn while you Learn initiative. They have donated iron shelves, tables as sales counters.



  • Health and Wellness Centre

  • Created to deliver comprehensive primary health care, that is universal and free to students, staff and faculty with a focus on wellness..



  • Green Initiative

  • Initiative done by NOGA by donating plants along with planters to spread greenery among the campus and to improve the environment..



  • NOGA Book Bank

  • A new initiative by donating books by NOGA members in NOGA Book Bank to make it available for the students. NOGA has setup a book bank corner on ground floor of new library building.

  • Zari Zardozi Corner and Merchandising and Styling Corner Developed in Incubation centre by NOGA member.

  • NOGA Shade

  • A NOGA member created a seating space in front of the canteen for students to sit in, and another shade was created for a notice board in the Institute's front area.
