Principal Message Greetings for the New Session! “The Highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with existence.” It is with this spirit that Sarojini Naidu Govt. Girls PG College has been striving in the pursuit of excellence since its inception. Our journey which began in 1970, is adorned with triumphs and victories, laurels and milestones, as well as challenges and obstacles. Our Endeavour for excellence has been recognized in the form of awards and accolades. In 1996, the college was granted autonomous status by the UGC. In 2017, it was accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC. Another fruitful session has taken us closer to our desire goals and making us proud of our academic growth. The various academic programs are related to all streams which will help students to shape up successful careers, and also help them to confront and acquire solution with new approaches. This year the students have achieved excellent results in all streams reaffirming our faith in our ability and potential. The Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at the college remain its life source. Seminars, workshop, conference, films and cultural shows help in widening the mental horizons of our students. This provides a bridge to cross over to the professional world. An emphasis on research, collaborative learning and internship with higher learning institutions, open up the vistas of knowledge and the learning process becomes interesting and exciting. We strive to make learning a stimulating experience by proving an enabling ethos to young women who can make a difference to the world. The Staff put in the best of its efforts to have a symbiotic relationship with the students. I also congratulate the entire College community for their dedication and commitment in this challenging journey of fifty fruitful years.
